ABOUT

Ugo Petronin (b. 1985, FR) is a filmmaker whose work explores the intricate relationship between imaginative processes and the biophysical world.  His current research themes includes the notion of regeneration, waters and human-animal interactions.

His short debut, Abiding (2019), about continuity in cinematographic techniques, was awarded a special mention at Ji.hlava’s Fascination and was selected for the Eye On Art Program at the Eye Film Museum. His latest film, Ninfa Fluida (2024), premiered at IFFR 2024, and explores regeneration in poetic metaphors and scientific model organisms.
